ChemicalAnalysis is comprised of a highly skilled team of chemists supported by the most advanced analytical instrumentation – surpassing that of most Universities.
Dr. Iain Cook obtained his PhD in NMR and synthetic organic chemistry from La Trobe University in 1987. His first professional position in 1984 was as a research scientist at the Victorian College of Pharmacy concerned with the synthesis of novel antiviral compounds..
From 1985 to 1990, Iain was a synthetic chemist devoted to the design and synthesis of novel reactive surfactants for the surface coatings industry (Dulux), a project that resulted in the granting of two patents and a contribution to the composition of the current range of Dulux 101 paints.
From 1990 to 2000, Dr. Cook managed the NMR laboratory in the ICI (subsequently Orica) Analytical Services Division (PROBE Analytical), rising to the level of Company Authority on NMR Spectroscopy. Over that period, he took NMR from being a routine tool for organic chemical identification to a powerful technique for the analysis of complex mixtures and formulations in the industrial and bioactive chemical industries.
From 2000 to 2002, Iain managed the spectroscopy laboratory at PROBE Analytical as part of ITS Caleb Brett, involving the integration of NMR, MS, SEM/EDXA, FTIR and NIR in the solution of complex chemical-related problems.

The Chemical Analysis testing laboratory is equipped with a range of instrumentation including two NMR and four LC-MS spectrometers - an array seldom found outside a university and offered by no other commercial consulting laboratory in Australia, and only a hand full world wide.
Our laboratory also meets stringent GMP licensing requirements (TGA and APVMA accredited) which also cover LCMS and NMR methodologies. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality which ensures that your results are never compromised.
These attributes, together with our expert team all of whom combine PhD qualifications with solid academic and commercial experience enables us to guarantee a swift, professional and results-led service.
Our contribution towards Research and Development and Quality Control has helped clients across the spectrum.
With ChemicalAnalysis working with you on a contract or outsourced basis, you will enjoy access to the most advanced technology, techniques and intelligence when you need it most. We can develop new methodologies for specific analysis, provide insights into your competitors products, solve production line problems to minimise downtime, or augment your own in-house testing, R&D and QC capabilities.
In short, when it comes to chemical analysis of any kind, ChemicalAnalysis is the solution.
